I proudly placed our new microwave on the counter. Now our kitchen was complete. Come to find it blocked the light switch, but moved left, there wasn’t room to put containers I would fill with hot food from the stove.
So I moved the microwave to another counter, which meant the coffee maker had to move farther from the sink. We readjusted, and changed the cabinets that held plates, cups, and glass containers closer to appliances.
Now there was less room for putting dishes near the stove, so how to serve the hot food? Once again, I moved the microwave, which meant I had to move the coffee maker. Once again, I had to move the plates, cups, and glass containers.
We readjusted, standing in different places, dancing as we moved to new locations.
This afternoon, I wondered what I was thinking when I first moved the microwave. I moved it back to its first spot, and moved the coffee maker next to the sink. Look at how much counter space we have!
