He was too loud, I heard him
long before I saw him
boinking, bonking, humming,
honking, goodness, you
would think he’d break
the sound barrier
with his blurting, blaring,
cackling, burping, chortling,
chirping. I exchanged my
picture for a goose and
snuck out with a face mask
hoping he would find
a good mate at our bad date
at the zoo.
