Screwy

The wheels loosen, self-unscrew 

from the rolling laundry bag. 

Maybe tomorrow is a better

day to vibrate to the undertow

of purring, spinning metal.

Maybe today is a better

day to pet the cat.

Maybe I need to find that fork

I set down while making

a better excuse.
