I will catch butterflies instead of colds.
I will travel in a train, not in my imagination.
I will lose weight instead of my mind.
I will practice obfuscation rather than obstinacy.
I will watch the road, not calories.
I will remember which road leads where.
I will walk with the wild turkey and deer.
I will enjoy drinking coffee black. Or not at all.
I will not use my mouth as a shoe rack.
I will be younger than I was last year.
I won’t forget where I put my keys. Or my glasses.
I won’t be afraid to be afraid.
I won’t make promises. I promise.
I won’t make any more New Year’s resolutions.
