Life Forgets I Age

Writer: Nolcha FoxNolcha Fox

Updated: Aug 22, 2024

The life inside is a child

popping balloons,

running through rainbows

sprayed by sprinklers,

The life inside does not believe

in aching backs and

knees that scream

when mounting stairs.

The life inside wants

me to hide and seek.

I’ll play with her forever

when my last breath leaves.
