My cooking attempts are more edible.
The kitchen remains intact.
I haven’t had to scrub any gunk
from cabinets or walls.
I’d still rather open packages
and eat whatever’s inside
than try to interpret recipes
(that measuring thing’s what size?).
I’d still rather go outside
and eat what I can find.
I have to wait for spring or else
I’m stuck with frozen bugs.
